Prague 3

Big day for Asher Taub.  Today Asher becomes a man in accordance with the Jewish people.  Honestly, I'm a bit sluggish from the pub crawl.  I taught everyone two of my favorite drinking games, Thumper and Thumbmaster.

We are in Prague, going to the Bar Mitzvah by walking from our hotel into town about 5 minutes.  It's pretty incredible when you think about.  Here is the program.  I picked one up for $5 on the way.

The Bar Mitzvah is taking place at the Spanish Synagogue.  Like traditional Bar Mitvah's (BM's), lots and lots of pre-game photos and kvelling.  Kvelling is a yiddish term that means "to kvell"
Everyone was almost on time.  The temple was closed to the public, and reserved for 2 hours.  We all got into a circle and prayed no one forgot the key.
Everybody Kvell.  Much Nachas and Nachos
It's also customary in Prague before a BM to do a shoe check
I quickly realized I'm the only one wearing tennis shoes.  My Mom would not approve.

Ok. So we found the key and we walk in at 9:00.  Holy place of warship Batman!  I'm not really a temple guy, but this is bar mitzvahmania.  It was built in 1868, so the feel is a way different than the BM's at home.  However, the process is the same.  L'Dor Vador - from generation to generation.

Rabbi Peter Gyori was great.  If you are ever thinking of having a Bar Mitzvah in Prague, I give him a 10.  He earns a "Blug".  That's a blog plug.

I can't even put into words how perfect the BM was, and how amazing Asher did.  I decided to write a poem instead.  Even though a poem is words.  So that doesn't make sense. Any who...

Asher, you became a man today.
And it seems like almost yesterday,
That Mommy & Daddy did a long foreplay
And 9 month’s later, you were here to stay

You led the service brilliantly.
It seemed to come so naturally.
There was something new; the Torah sprint.
And many of us could've used a mint.

Family first is who we are.
Let's travel to Prague, instead of buying that car.
We wouldn't have it any another way.
Asher congrats! You made everyone’s day

Happy. Proud. Parents.

After the service and kvelling, we all headed to Aromi Restaurant.  Great outdoor patio.  Food was yum.  Wendy planned the lunch and we all Asher'd up.

I noticed Asher playing his first man game, "try and throw ice in your glass with an ice pick from 20 yards away."

Manly Ice Game Moves
Mark and I continued our bald spot off.  Asher, we all have different ways of showing manhood.

Amazing Service.  Amazing Lunch.  Amazing Day.

Everyone did different things in the afternoon.  Some went to the Apple Museum.  Some got a massage.  Some shopped.  And these girls painted.

Alex and I bought some concert tickets.  27 of us heading to see the Stones on Friday night.  Nice job Alex!  Newlywed ring leader.

Hey. You. Gift Off Of My Cloud.
We all headed for dinner around 7:00.  Thank you Linda for picking up the Taub Tab.  Wendy found the place and helped coordinate.  Great job.  It was a perfect dinner to a perfect day.  Fine Prague dining.

We even got to see Asher's Bar Mitzvah Montage.  Spoiler Alert.  There are a lot of pictures of Asher.

Last night in Prague. Better make it count.  Below is the oldest bridge in the city.  Across from our restaurant leading to the castle.  It's called the Oldest Bridge in the City Bridge

Tomorrow we are heading to the Terezin Concentration Camp before heading to Berlin.  Fuck Hitler.
Ron and Gloria decided to get a head start.  See you in Berlin.

We Don't Need No Stinking Bus
I'll end it this way... Today was the perfect day.  Kids.  Life does not get better.  There is no need to search for more, you already have it.  That does not mean you shouldn't continue to explore, make goals, and challenge yourselves.  It only means to fully realize on days like today, you have happiness.  It's all about the journey, not about the destination.  And what a journey today was.  We all have happiness.

Thank you Josh, Lisa, Trevor, Cami and Asher.  You did it!
Asher.  Time to Man Up
