Day 1
Hi everyone. It's blog time. I love to blog our trips to capture moments, provide recommendations to others, and to remind myself how lucky I am.
We've had a whirlwind couple days. It started Friday with the Fiance Disco Pre-Wedding Night Party. Rob and Beth won for best outfit.
That was actually their wedding photo. I wasn't invited to their wedding years ago, but I did get the invite to Alex and Kelly's. It was an amazing event.
After the wedding we left for Greece. A stop before the Asher Taub Bar -Mitzvah in Prague. I did mention how grateful I am. I've never been to Greece. This is how it looks outside the plane.

Landed in Athens via Philadelphia and staying at Hotel George. It's nice and right in the center of town about 40 minutes from the airport. We met Amy, Brad, Max and Evan and headed out to see some Athens.
I keep telling my kids that everything is mindset. You have a mind and set it how you want it. Don't let it set you. However, to be honest, it is 96, I am jet lagged, and Theo our tour guide walks fast.
Theo is named from the Greek God of the Lions. Not really. I think that is Leo. But there is a lot of Greek God talk here. Makes sense. These gods hung out in some very nice places. This is their music hall.
I think they built the Greek Theater in Hollywood after it. They still use it for concerts. This is part of the Acropolis. We hiked the Acropolis for about an hour or so.
The views were amazing. This is the view of a big shaded area down below in the upper left that was probably not 96. I think the jet lag got me taking pics of shade.
The center above was where the first Olympics in Athens were played. Athens hosted the Olympics in 1896 and 2004. I'm pretty sure it was the Summer Olympics.
After awhile, these 4 decided it was time for our descent back to town.
We stopped for some authentic Greek Yogurt. Reid also seems jet lagged by posing with girls he doesn't know.
In fact, when Theo took a picture and said "Say Feta." Reid asked, "What does Feta mean?"
Before heading back to the hotel we stopped to watch Greece's version of the Changing of the Guard. There is an Unknown Tomb just across from our hotel. Here's to all of our Allied Troops. I promise, no political blogging.
After a short rest we all dined at an authentic greek restaurant. Food and service were excellent.
