Day 5
“Time flies when you’re having fun,” is an understatement. Especially when you’re traveling on vacations with family and friends. Really feeling the "live every moment" mindset right now.
Sea day. Greece is surrounded by three seas: the Ionian Sea to the West, the Aegean Sea to the East, and the Sea of Crete to the south. Amy coordinated an Aegean Sea tour. What’s the difference between a Sea and an Ocean?
We first prepared for Aegean Sea Sickness.

We were picked up by Bianca and her Skipper. Bianca was a Blast

First stop was the Island of Delos. Apollo and Artemis were born there. Apollo is the God of Light, Harmony and Balance. Artemis was his twin sister, The Moon Goddess. Brad was very interested in the Moon Goddess.
Julia and Evan headed in a different direction.
The museum on the Island was filled with all sorts of amazing historical findings. The first Nike shoe warn by Apollo was a sandal. Who knew?
I related to Apollo from the waist up.
I did learn, interestingly enough, that the Statue of Nymph was created on the Island of Delos
Rumor has it that she got around.
Incredible place. Apollo, Artemis and the Nymph were all here in 2,500 BCE. And here we are today exploring. Time flies... I need to get at it...
After the museum we hiked to the top of the Island.
And all celebrated our quest at the summit in different ways

The views were amazing. A great place for Apollo to take Queen Nymph. This may have been the first Inspiration Point.
After Delos we were supposed to go snorkeling. But the weather started getting rough... and you know the rest.
We decided to get off at the nearest port and head to Kiki’s Tavern for lunch. This is what it looks like when you don’t want to pay 30 Euro for a 1 mile ride.
We saved 5 Euro and wasted 30 minutes. Not bad. But a 1.5 hour wait for lunch! Oh no, major group hangry. But looked who saved our afternoon. I love this guy.

Back to the hotel. Everyone is in need of a nap after a stormy day at sea, and hanging with Apollo (and Queen Nymph). We have dinner reservations at 10:00pm. What? Time flies...
